We are so excited to introduce you to our newest athlete for life – Kristina Padgett! Kristina lives in Southern California and is known for her style tips, trends and try-on hauls! She is 29 years old, has been married for 5 years, and is a mother to 3 kids!
Growing up Kristina was involved in sports from a young age. She began dancing and cheer around age seven, and continued cheering through high school!
Her Journey Into Health & Fitness
After finishing high school and being done with competitive cheer, Kristina moved on to college. Her fitness routine was now about staying in shape and consisted of mostly cardio. It wasn’t until she became a Mom that her health and fitness journey really began.
Kristina found out she was pregnant 3 months after giving birth to her first baby. After giving birth to her second child, Kristina wasn’t feeling and looking the way she wanted to. As a result, she decided to make a change. Kristina began Weight Watchers and found success in that! She lost 30 pounds and was able to learn a lot about nutrition and macros throughout the process.
Doing Weight Watchers was the first time Kristina had focused on what she was eating and made changes to her diet. She also altered her fitness routine from just cardio and incorporated weight training.
When she got pregnant with her third child, Kristina stayed intentional with her fitness routine and eating habits. Now postpartum, Kristina continues to track macros with MyFitnessPal to help her stay on track!
Kristina’s Outlook On Fitness
Kristina’s main outlook on health and fitness is all about pushing herself. Kristina believes you should push yourself every day physically. It doesn’t have to be anything crazy, but it’s important to practice discipline and follow through with what you say you’re going to do.
She even teaches her children this belief by encouraging them to do things that are out of their comfort zone! Kristina enjoys seeing them push themselves and try to be better everyday.
Something Kristina is doing right now to push herself is working out each morning! This has been a game changer for her, especially being postpartum. It helps improve her mood and starts her day off on a good note.
