Being in a good mood is something we are all striving for. Having a positive and happy outlook on life impacts every aspect of how we live and view the world. However, being in a good mood is often easier said than done. So many things can affect our mood so it’s important to be aware of the little things we can do each day to set ourselves up for success.
1. Get Enough Sleep
Lack of sleep can leave you foggy, tired and irritable. I’m sure we have all been in a bad mood simply because we were tired. Get a head start on your mood by getting enough sleep at night. Sleep impacts our overall health and well-being so try to get around 7 hours of sleep per night.

Exercising is a quick way to boost your mood! When you exercise your body releases endorphins, which results in your mood improving.
Exercising can reduce stress, improve self-esteem, reduce anxiety and depression and improve sleep. So if your mood is headed south, squeeze in a workout for a quick boost!
3. Drink Water
Avoid getting dehydrated. We all know how tired and agitated we can feel when we don’t get enough water. Try carrying a water bottle with you throughout the day so you can remember to drink. If you have a water bottle next to you, chances are you’ll drink it!
- For a boost of hydration, try our BCAAs! They’re formulated with a coconut water powder to keep your muscles hydrated!
Journaling is a great place to dump your thoughts. Get all of your worries, concerns, emotions and thoughts down on paper. Doing this can prevent your thoughts and feelings from disrupting your mood and the way you treat others.
Another option could be art, music or cooking. Whatever your outlet is, use it to release your thoughts and feelings in a healthy way.
5. Get Vitamins & Minerals
There are a few ways to get vitamins and minerals into your diet. Fruits and vegetables are a great way to get a variety of nutrients. Consuming fruits and vegetables can give you energy and help you feel awake, alert and healthy.
Did you know our Energy is full of B Vitamins and antioxidants? B Vitamins help improve our mood and antioxidants keep your immune system strong. Our BCAAs have minerals like Potassium, Calcium, and Magnesium which also lead to a better well-being.
6. Be Thankful
Focusing on the things you are grateful for can help your mood stay positive. When you focus on the bad things going on in your life it can be hard to see the good. Try writing a gratitude list each day to help you recognize all of the things you have.
7. Disconnect From The Internet
The internet is an easy way to waste hours on end and feel unproductive and drained. We recommend having a curfew each night that determines when you will disconnect from the internet. Doing it before bedtime can improve sleep, which we mentioned earlier, resulting in a better mood in the morning because your body got the rest it needed.
