A few weeks ago we had a post from one of the members in our Bad Athlete Facebook group with the following question:
I feel like the cycle of “great for a few days, MIA, then back on it for a few more days” is one most of us have lived. Maybe you’re there right now. Congratulations on being human, it happens to the best of us.
Truth is, we all know deep down that there is no magic solution and no quick answer to this question and what works for one person might not necessarily work for the next. That said, there’s a lot of benefit in being willing to share experiences and try new things until you find what works best for you.
Our Bad Athlete community really came through in the comment section, here are a few of our favorites:
Nobody expects you to be perfect and the truth is that some days just suck. But every day you keep coming back anyway is a #BigBadWin for you and soon you’ll find that you start having more good days vs days where you’d rather give into your excuses and do nothing at all. When you can recognize that you can take both the good days and the bad and keep going, that’s the sweet spot right there.
Find your “WHY”, dig deep to discover what drives you, and channel that into your effort to keep showing up.
