Whitney Runs A Marathon

Sharing our stories, the highs and the lows is something we do every single day but on Wednesdays, we go big on sharing our #BigBadWins.

Today we’re spotlighting our own Whitney Meine who recently ran her first marathon.

Most people test the waters by signing up for a half-marathon first and then deciding to run a full. Whitney did the opposite, she signed up for all of it before running any of it and then for good measure, signed up to run a 50-mile ultra-marathon too.

Whitney goes all-in. She works hard, she loves hard, she’s goal-driven and she’s intentional.

12 weeks has gone by… – I completed a half marathon (missed my goal by 4 mins) – I’m still hungry for more – I’m still the same weight (and it still doesn’t define my happiness) – I signed up for a 50 mile trail race in March 2020 – I’m still defining my Why for this sport I made a decision 12 weeks ago and woke up and ran a mile that took me 16 minutes. Today I’m running 13 miles at a consistent pace of 9:20 a mile. I’ve met people that have kept me accountable and push harder. 12 weeks ago I made one choice and it’s continued to make me a better person everyday.
